    As part of its vision to create meaningful, faith-centered books, Alabaster partnered with artists Katie Waiyu and Rachel Yumi Chung to bring A Beautiful Year with Jesus to life.

    Katie Waiyu, a UK-based illustrator with roots in Hong Kong, creates artwork that honors the quiet beauty of everyday life, offering viewers a sense of peace and reflection. Rachel Yumi Chung, an artist and illustrator based in Virginia, paints joy-filled, whimsical worlds inspired by her Christian faith, Korean heritage, and a deep wonder for life. Together, their artwork transforms each day's devotional into a visually contemplative experience, inviting readers into stillness, meditation, and deeper connection with God.

    Brian Chung, based in Los Angeles, is the co-founder and CEO of Alabaster. Deeply passionate about making faith both accessible and beautiful, Brian brings over 12 years of Christian ministry experience to his work. He founded Alabaster to bridge the gap between Scripture and design--crafting books that invite readers into a deeper spiritual journey through thoughtful visuals while staying true to Scripture's depth and meaning.
