He wrote Parkland and a Vanity Fair profile of Gabby Giffords, and covered LGBT troops extensively. Columbine has been translated into nine languages, made over a dozen All-Time Best True Crime lists, won the Edgar and Goodreads Choice Awards, and named one of the Top 10 Education books of the Decade.
