His work has been featured in \u003cem\u003eThe Guardian\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cem\u003eThe Nation\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cem\u003eThis Week In Palestine\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cem\u003eAl-Jazeera English\u003c\/em\u003e, and the forthcoming \u003cem\u003eVacuuming Away Fire\u003c\/em\u003e anthology, among others. Mohammed graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a B.F.A. in Writing, where he created \u003cem\u003eRadical Blankets\u003c\/em\u003e, an award-winning multimedia poetry magazine. He is currently pursuing an M.F.A. in Poetry from Brooklyn College. His poetry-oud album, \u003cem\u003eBellydancing On Wounds\u003c\/em\u003e, was released in collaboration with Palestinian musical artist Clarissa Bitar. Apart from poetry and writing, el-Kurd is a visual artist, printmaker, and most recently, co-designer of a fashion collection with Serbian designer Tina Gancev.
