She has won numerous national and international prizes, including the Pepe Carvalho Prize, the LiBeraturpreis for \u003cem\u003eElena Knows\u003c\/em\u003e and the prestigious Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Prize for \u003cem\u003eLas grietas de Jara\u003c\/em\u003e (A Crack in the Wall). Many of her novels have been adapted for the big screen, including \u003cem\u003eElena Knows\u003c\/em\u003e (out on Netflix in Nov 2023). Piñeiro is the third most translated Argentinean author, after Jorge Luis Borges and Julio Cortázar. She's also a playwright and scriptwriter (including Netflix popular series El Reino).
